1). Collectible NFTs
Collectible NFTs are non-fungible tokens created primarily to be collected, owned, and traded because of their rarity, uniqueness, cultural significance, or community value rather than for direct functional utility.
Key Characteristics of Collectible NFTs
The key characteristics of Collectible NFTs are:
(a). Scarcity
Collectible NFTs are usually issued in limited quantities or as unique items (1-of-1), which creates rarity and demand.
(b). Uniqueness
Each NFT has a distinct blockchain identity, meaning it cannot be duplicated or replaced due to the principles of the non-fungible token standard.
(c). Ownership Verification
Ownership is permanently recorded on a blockchain, allowing transparent proof of authenticity and provenance.
(d). Community or Cultural Value
Some collectibles gain value because they belong to a recognised collection or community, such as the well-known NFT collections CryptoPunks and Bored Ape Yacht Club.
(e). Tradability
Collectors typically buy, sell, and trade these NFTs on EdaFace Marketplace.
Collectible NFT Subcategories
There are various types of Collectible NFTs, which are classified into four subcategories as follows:
(a). Avatars (PFPs)
These are profile-picture (PFP) collections designed for people to use as digital identities on social platforms, wallets, and communities.

Digital collectible creatures owned mainly for collection rather than gameplay.

Community badges, membership tokens, or commemorative digital stickers.
E.g., DAO membership collectibles, community event NFTs, etc.
(iv). Virtual Fashion Collectibles
Digital wearable items intended mainly for collection.
